Bookings
During Western Cape school holidays and long weekends, there is a minimum stay of 3 nights for camping.
There is a minimum stay of 2 nights over weekends for self catering accommodation. |

Payment
A minimum of 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking and to guarantee a site.
Full payment may be requested for bookings under a certain value, for last minute bookings and for bookings during peak periods.
Full payment is required for group bookings 2 weeks prior to arrival.
We cannot keep sites until the deposit has been paid.
Bookings are only guaranteed once the deposit has been received.
The balance of your payment is the difference between your original booking and the payments that have been made to date.
Should members of your party arrive late, leave early or not arrive at all, they will still be liable for the full portion of their booking unless these changes have been emailed to me at least 5 days before the arrival date. This does not apply to groups as full payment is required for groups 14 days before the arrival date.
The balance of payment is due when you arrive (in cash). You may do an eft on or before your arrival date for the balance outstanding but please bring the proof of payment with you as these payments can take a few days to register in our bank account.
WE DO NOT HAVE CARD FACILITIES SO PLEASE BRING CASH IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE AN EFT PRIOR TO ARRIVAL

Cancellations and Amendments to booking
We do not give refunds unless your booking is cancelled 6 months in advance. An admin fee will be deducted from the deposit.
If you cancel your booking at least 5 days before your arrival date you will be compensated with a free stay in the year. There is a time limit within which to redeem this free stay and it may not be redeemed on long weekends or festival weekends.
Payment for camping cancellations may not be redeemed for self-catering accommodation.
No shows will DEFINITELY NOT be compensated.

Check in and Check out
Camping: Check in, 12 midday. check out is 11am during school holidays.
Self-Catering: Check in 15:00, Check out 11am. |

Day Visitors
No day visitors unless by prior arrangement with Management.
We are a small camp and do not have space for everyone to bring a friend.
Visiting hours 1000 – 1800pm : Charges - R50 per adult - R25 per child.
Visitors need to sign in.
Visitors need to park their car in the designated parking area.
No visitors’ cars at any of the sites.
Visitors are not to be given the gate code.

Dogs
Dogs - We have a limit to the dogs that we allow at any given time. Please get prior permission for your dog. Dog rate R50 per dog per day.
No anti-social dogs, barkers, vicious breeds. Owners of Jack Russels - please keep them on a lead as they chase our chickens.

Music
We have a no music policy - This rule is strictly enforced, please don't play music as we will come down and ask you to turn it off.
This rule is relaxed on New Years Eve.

Noise
We try to provide a tranquil environment for our guests.
Noise before 8am and after 10pm is generally frowned upon in a camping environment.
Please keep rowdy children and adults from disturbing the peace preferably all the time but particularly outside of these times.

Boats
Our section of the river is a non-motorised boat section. No motor boats allowed.

Cars
We don't have a lot of parking space.
We don't allow cars to park on the lower level ever! If you need your car with you please
make sure that you ask for an upper level site in advance.

Swimming - Pool and River
Pool. The pool is through the avenue between the vines to your right behind the farmhouse. It is not fenced – so children must be accompanied at all times.
The river is safe for swimming.
Children must at all times be accompanied by an adult.

Ablutions
Please note that we have SEPTIC TANKS in operation therefore NOTHING is to be thrown down the lavatories other than loo paper. Bins are provided for the rest.

Water
The Water is from the river so it is advisable not to drink it.
Containers can be filled at the Spar or at the Multisave in the village
|

Donkeys – No food to be given to our donkeys other than fruit or salad stuff. They get Lucerne morning and evening and are busy eating the grape vines at the moment.
Chickens – Please don’t chase them.
Our dogs – Coco the Great Dane and Kelly the pale one. They are socialized and friendly.
Cats – Dudley (Siamese) and Jasper (Black) are a law unto themselves but seem not to like being cuddled altho’ stroking is fine. |

Wood
R40 per wheelbarrow - COD.

Recycling
Recycling bins for glass and tin have been placed outside the kitchen. Please use them. |

Canoes
R90 COD per day or R50 for ½ day. Children’s canoes R50 per day.

Gate
Please keep the gate closed at all times.
This is not automated so please push or pull after typing in the code. The gate code will be given on arrival.

Fishing
Fishing is strictly catch and release only,

| We reserve the right to ask any person or group to leave the premises with immediate effect should they be found to contraven the rules and regulations of the camp site. |
