We recently visited Bonnievale River Lodge. We had a great stay in this beautiful setting with lovely comfortable and clean rooms. This is an ideal venue for families and we would definitely visit again.

Beautiful and peaceful setting for a relaxing weekend away. Campsites are along the river, with various fun activities for both kids and adults.Clean facilities and friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely return.

Absolutely loved it. Cant wait to go back. Safe, friendly, neat, clean. Only "problem" was the bugs, coz I hate bugs😫 but when you in nature..... that's what you get. Loved loved loved

The best getaway from the big city.
Bonnievale River Lodge has a welcoming atmosphere, with friendly, down-to-earth staff members and scenery you wish you could take home with you. We stayed in the Fisherman's Cabin, which came with complementary sherry, a sachet of adorably wrapped filter coffee, and a couple of instant coffee necessities. The Cabin includes a fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, cutlery, microwave, fridge, oven, etc.) and a bathroom with all the frills you'd expect from a typical B&B. My personal favourite was the fireplace inside the cabin, which made for a wonderful place to relax with a good book. To us city dwellers, it got very cold in the evenings. But the fireplace, electric blankets, and extra duvets made the evenings cosy. The Cabin also comes with DStv on an old-school TV, which is great to listen to some music on the radio channels, or to catch up on some news. I was unfortunately sick during our visit, so we spent most of our time inside the Cabin. However, I did brave a brief paddle down the river with one of their kayaks - and what a worth-while experience it was! One thing that stood out to me was how the Cabin somehow catered to every little need one might have, from complementary wood on the first evening, to shower gel conveniently secured against the wall. We'll definitely visit again!

Beautiful setting, lovely room, quality bedding and towels, good shower (the last 3 are very important!) Little touches like water and a bottle of wine in the fridge, cookies, plunger coffee. Even braai wood is supplied for your first night. I'm not into camping but even the camping sites looked alluring with their private decks, river location and clean ablutions (including a separate one for ladies - bonus points for that!) It was utterly delightful.

The Vineyard Suite is exceptional in every way - comfy, clean and has absolutely everything you will need! We loved our stay at the Bonnievale River Lodge and will definitely be back again!

Been in nature so close to the river ideal for camping and family escape. If you have children it's paradise as they have space to play and swim. Ideal in summer. Choice of swimming and rowing on the river or controlled environment of the swimming pool.

Really liked the animal feeding for the kids. Lovely farm holiday spot. Fresh air and beautiful, relaxed atmosphere was great! Farmhouse is well equipped and we loved the oversized fireplace.

Lovely spot. Ideal base to explore Bonnievale and surrounding area. Accommodation ticks all the boxes. Will return frequently.

Excellent facilities and good value for money.
